The Global Small Business Blog pointed me to this great article. In it, Tom Shinick provides this advice for a small business going global for the first time: "To get started, companies develop an international business plan that addresses such issues as exchange rates, marketing, cash flow, intellectual property protection and methods of distribution. It's best to start small, preferably with one country or product."
