This article explains why the U.S. isn't the only country whose businesses should understand the importance of a Spanish translation. Apparently, Spain's embracing of globalization has made it a key economic performer in Europe. When considering doing business in Europe, a Spanish translation for Spain is still very relevant. Spain today is outperforming both France and Italy on growth, job creation and the most vital quality for a modern nation—a sense of vitality, confidence and optimism. The Spanish have a word, movida, that has come to stand for an unleashing of energy, a can-do embrace of modernity and a society and economy that want to be open, not closed. As Prodi and those jostling to succeed Chirac wonder how to get their countries moving again, as they try to gin up some movida of their own, they would do well to learn a little Spanish.
