Many E-Buzz readers are often traveling overseas to do business, and one of the most culturally-varying customs that comes up almost anywhere you go is the art of the tip. Not only are expectations different everywhere, problems such as currency devaluation can contribute to causing one to give an outrageously low or high tip. This article provides some good starting points and tips on tipping.

In much of Europe and South America, it's common for a restaurant to put a service charge on the bill, and in fact the obligatory tip can show up anywhere.

In China, for example, you'll find workers who have never heard of tips, but service workers in larger cities have discovered the joys of tipping, and a gratuity can now be expected.
